Color Codes
1-5 yrs (not in K) = Aqua
Kindergarten - 5th grade = Shades of Pink
Middle & High School = Blue
Boys Only = Green
Adults Only = Peach
Miracles in Motion (special needs) = Purple
DDC company = Teal
Class Types and Ages
Mommy & Me is an introduction to creative movement for dancers and their mom or dad or grandma or nanny. We invite everyone to join us. These children range from those who may "just" be walking to those at a full on sprint. We will stretch and excercise and experiment with an obstacle course. We will fly like butterfies and bond with our mom or dad at the same time. This is a VERY relaxed atmosphere. Some days the "moms" do more dancing and excercising than the kids, but other days we all dance together.
Creative Ballet is a younger version of our basic ballet class for 2 1/2 year olds. The dancers do not bring their parents to class because now they are "big kids." We use fun songs and exciting stories to bring ballet to life while changing the skills quickly to match the attention span of our little ones. This is recommended for the dancers who are approximately 2 1/2 in September and will turn 3 sometime during the fall or winter.
For 3 and 4 year olds we offer Ballet or Tap classes. These basic classes teach the dancer terminology and basic movements while working on motor skills and classroom etiquette. We use exciting music and props to ensure our dancers are learning and having FUN!
Beginning with our 5 year olds and through our teens, we offer ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop classes.
For our middle and high school dancers we also offer modern or contemporary.
We invite our BOYS to join any of our classes. However, if they are looking for the BOYS ONLY setting, we have hip hop for ages 5-9 or 10-13.
Our ADULTS are invited to put on their dancing shoes, too. We have beginning jazz, beginning tap, along with intermediate and advanced tap and jazz.
Miracles in Motion is our program for dancers with special needs. Everyone can dance, even if only in their heart. For more information, please look at our Miracles in Motion page. Registration begins July 5.
DDC - The Dynamic Dance Company is our competitive dance team. Auditions are held during the summer months for dancers between 3rd and 12th grade. Please look at our DDC page for more information.
CC - The Community Company is our jazz dance team that performs at many local events. No audition is necessary, however the dancer must commit to the class and performances. These dancers participate in charitable events and performances and are invited to many local venues like Meet in the Street, Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Children's Centers.
