March FOOTNOTES
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Remember when inclement weather causes school delays or cancellations, Dance Dynamics generally follows the Wake County Public School System's decisions regarding cancellations. Please check our answering machine or website for final decisions.
PARENTS OF YOUNG DANCERS
If you are leaving the building while your child is in class and do not plan to be back to change their shoes inbetween classes, PLEASE put your child's dance bag in the classroom with your child. This will alert the teacher that they are responsible for your child during the class change and that they are responsible for changing your child's shoes. This is not a problem at all. The teacher just needs to know that your child should not leave the room looking for you.
*Please take your dancer to the bathroom before class. Even if this means they will be a little late, it is less disruptive to come in late than it is to start a "potty parade." Of course if someone has an emergency during class, we will send them with an assistant or with you to the bathroom. Also, we do not allow parents to come inside the classroom during the class because the students are distracted by the smallest of events. If one parent comes in, two or three more students will cry because they miss their parent too. So please do not be frustrated if your child needs to watch with you from the window for the first few minutes in order to see that it is fun. And please don't be concerned if your child goes into class but seems to stand and watch the teacher instead of dancing. It is normal for many children to need to watch and judge the teacher for themselves before they actually try the steps.
If you have any questions, please call 554-0036.
THANK YOU for dancing with DANCE DYNAMICS!
Dance Bags and Purses
All dancers please take all of your belongings to class with you. Your teacher will tell you where to put them. DO NOT leave any bags in the dressing room unattended. If possible, leave all money and expensive belongings at home.
Payments
Please indicate in the memo section of your check the name of the child you are paying for and what you are paying for. This is a tremendous help to the office staff! Thank you for your help! In addition to cash, check, charge and debit accepted at the studio office, we also offer automatic credit or debit payment for monthly tuition. An explanation sheet, an application form as well as a change of authorization form are all available in the folders by the studio office.
DANCE SHOES
Don't forget to write your child's name in their dance shoes. It will save a lot of time and worry later on!
ALSO!!! Please wear your street shoes to and from the car. Then change into your dance shoes once inside the building.
Sick Days
If your child is not feeling well or is already sick, please keep them out of dance class until they are well. We offer make-up classes that can be taken until May. Please help us to keep other dancers and teachers well as cold season starts. Thank you!
REMINDERS
THE BACK DOOR
For the safety and security of all of our children, the back door will remain locked at all times.
Please remember that dancers MUST be covered from the knees up. Any dancer wearing shorts or a leotard without tights will be asked to borrow tights from the office. All ballet dancers must wear tights and a leotard to every class.
Ballet students must wear a leotard and tights to ballet class. Anyone who forgets the appropriate clothing will be asked to wear Ms. Traci's old, very ugly dance clothes. Students in tap and jazz are encouraged to wear tights and a leotard, but may also wear dance pants or shorts. If they wear shorts, they MUST WEAR TIGHTS. We will no longer allow bear legs in ANY class. Hip Hop students must also have their legs covered! NO SHORTS IN ANY CLASS WITHOUT TIGHTS OR LEGGINGS. It is much safer and more healthy for the dancer to wear tights to keep their legs muscles warm and compact. It is also much cleaner for the students and teachers.
Please remember to put your child's hair up. It is extremely hard to dance with your hair in your eyes.
Thank you for your help in encouraging your child to wear DANCE CLOTHES to DANCE CLASS!

Ms. Lou will once again be offering recital trophies for you to gvie your child after the big day. You may pick up an order form at Tutu's Dance Wear or at our

***If you have danced with us for many years and feel comfortable skipping the speech, WE STILL NEED YOU TO STOP BY AND PICK UP YOUR PACKET!
During the meeting time, our dancers will be together with the teachers in studio 1 performing their recital dances for each other. They practice their performance technique as well as enjoy the other groups. Depending on their class time and the meeting you choose to attend, you may join your child in studio 1 to watch them perform either before or after the meeting. You are welcome to stay and watch the groups perform as many times as you like, but you may also come and go as you need. The dancers will be performing their dance during their entire regular class time.
We will have studio 3 set up as an entertainment/babysitting room for siblings. We will try our best to have sitters available to watch young siblings during the meeting allowing you to focus on the information.
If you have any questions about the new process, please do not hesitate to call or email. We hope this new method will help us improve our Recital Information Week.
